Chanhassen AutoPlex, Chanhassen MN

Chanhassen AutoPlex, Chanhassen MN

We visited the Chanhassen AutoPlex on Saturday April 30. Their featured charity partner for April is Cars Against Crime. Cars and Caves car shows run from 8:00 AM to 12:00.

From their website at     chanhassenautoplex.com/about-us/

"Cars and Caves car shows are open to the public. There is no admission charge to see hundreds of cars and dozens of dream garages. Each Cars and Caves show is dedicated to a different charity and, when visitors arrive, they are invited to make a voluntary contribution directly to the charity.

Chanhassen AutoPlex owners are committed to using their car collections and garage condominiums to raise money for charity. Our events have raised over $20,000 for charities including Ronald McDonald Houses, Goodwill Easter Seals, Shriners Hospitals for Children, Chanhassen Firemen, Special Olympics Minnesota, and Bridging among others."

CHARITY SPOTLIGHT

The charitable partners of the May Cars and Caves event are Cody's Heroes and Happy Tails Rescue.

Cody’s Heroes is an Emotional Support Animal (ESA) program is designed to support military veterans and their emotional needs, as well as animals looking for a great forever home. This program is free of charge. Cody's Heroes is overseen by an Iraq war veteran and Purple Heart recipient.

Some dogs are born with the natural ability to be support animals and Happy Tails pairs these dogs with veterans that can benefit from the support of a dog. The Happy Tails team works with approved veterans to carefully select the best fit from a handful of potential candidates.

Join us this Saturday to support these two great causes!

FOOD TRUCK

Kurb Side Catering will be serving up coffee, lattes and egg muffin sandwiches as well as breakfast and lunch tacos next Saturday at Cars and Caves! Their food truck, named 'Kurby,' is a 1956 Grumman that has been converted to serve food, which includes tacos that have been made famous at the Tin Fish restaurant on Lake Calhoun.
