Greetings it has been a while since my last Blog update hope all is well! Just a little pictorial update of Minnetonka Drive In Tree Lot/Spruce Tops/Wreaths and other decorations at the tree lot.

Dave wanted pictures taken to entice you to visit and maybe buy a beautiful fresh Tree or Wreath or Spruce Top to make your humble Abode look Festive for the Season. Of course this meant a photo gallery with Dave being the Star showing the items you need and to stop by and checkout, purchase and Yak with Dave. Dave and Deb miss all of you!

Rainy weekend no Car Shows but wait a minute, how about a Toy Car Swap Meet/Toy Show? I have gone to them in the past and they are interesting and you don’t need a big Garage if you find one or two to buy.

Here is a request from me for Cars preferably convertibles and Pickup trucks for the Opening Day Parade Friday November 23rd Christkindlsmarkt in Excelsior which runs from the day after Thanksgiving through Sunday [23^rd to 25^th]. I am part of the Events Group which has been putting the huge Outdoor Event for over 18 years. See the website below.

 

Bobby Jensen from KARE 11 will be the Grand Marshall this year. It is a fun Event with lots to do and see and Artesian crafts for early Christmas shopping for unique gifts.

 

Boy Scouts selling Wreaths, Tree Farm to buy a Beautiful Tree, Food Trucks, Live Alpaca and Reindeer, Trolley rides with Father Christmas, Children’s carpeted heated tent KinderWorld with special events scheduled for the children. Tons of fun and things to do – check the website!

 

Opening Day Parade Cars are weather dependent of course.

Well we know that the Car Show season has come to an end but it doesn’t mean there aren’t events to keep busy with. I will continue my Blog and email list with items of interest. 

 

If you attended the last Car Show/Swap Meet at the State Fair grounds last Sunday what disappointing weather, wasn’t expected, felt sorry for the Vendors!

 

Here is something to do at the Minnetonka Drive-In. It  is open to sell Pumpkins, Hay Bales, Corn Stalks and Birch Branches for Decorations for this time of the year and starting November 1^st Spruce Tops, Greens and Branches then Trees around Thanksgiving time. Note: they have some weird interesting Pumpkins I did know existed!

 

Hours Monday through Saturday 9 am to 6 pm, Sunday 10 am to 6 pm be sure to check it out. Give Dave and Deb a visit!

Chapel Hill Academy SonRun Festival and Excelsior Apple Day

Last year was the first Car Show at this Festival, nice Show and lots of fun - well, should be fun again this year. Great area to display our Cars and how about the free pizza for bringing your Rides for Festival Attendees, it was a big hit!

Please consider attending the 2nd Annual Car Show this year on Saturday September 29th. There will be door prizes for you this year for taking time out from Fall Chores to be a part of this Show!
