Wow, Car Shows in full swing Thursday Day at MTK Drive-In very busy and great variety of Cars plus a 1968 Winnebago – very aerodynamic as you cam imagine Chan AutoPlex Military Appreciation Day last Saturday was a perfect weather day and lots & lots of interesting Cars!

Sunday I went to the All 40^th Annual Ford Show at Dunwoody College in Mpls Again another perfect weather [wow 3 good weather days] and well attended have included a few pictures. My Editor-in-Chief says we need to find a new way to include Photos cause my camera format uses up a lot of space! Fear not if you were looking for your car I will follow up in a separate email with more photos!

I also hear but wasn’t there Henderson Roll – In was well attended always a fun Show! My pick of the upcoming week would be Mayer Car and Cycle Night starting up this Wednesday.

Get out to your choice of a Show to attend and show off your Ride and enjoy those who bring theirs for all to see and enjoy! As always send me some to announce I missed.

Minnetonka Mn Drive In and Mayer MN Classic Cars

Hope your home Air Conditioners are working – my outdoor unit fan bit the dust!

There are a few items of interest here and some recent photos for your viewing pleasure. First lots of interesting Cars lately especially at the Minnetonka Drive – In four gorgeous Woodies Last Evening Three parked together one quite unusual. Hope I can send the photos I want as the my pics are a large format. Any suggestion how I can send a lot of pics?

1949 Buick Super, 1941 Plymouth Super Deluxe, 1950 Rolls Royce with a Coach Builder Woody added on and an Oldsmobile around a 1949 – didn’t get the year info.

Then the 1968 F-17 Winnebago at the Minnetonka Drive–In last week very aerodynamic, like a brick but interesting in process of interior restoration, a 1937 Chev Master 2 door all original with only 58,800 miles at the Mayer Car Show and C/20  Chev ¾ ton pickup find 114,000 with a great natural patina at the 7-Hi Car Show that the owner had been looking for!

Quick note here for those who attend my Car Show at Catholic Elder Car in Nordeast Mpls – I think about the eight year. The tentative date is July 17^th – working with a new Director of Recreation Renee as Scott moved to Florida. Someone had let me know they got a phone call that the date was moved to a Friday in June, no - always Wednesdays around noon and includes lunch not sure what that call was about?

Last but not Least Excelsior has the Art on the Lake June 8-9 which will be held on Water St in town due to the Ice Castle Event this winter kinda took its toll on the turf near the Band Shell – will be a traffic nightmare but is a nice event.

May 28 to June 2nd 2019 Collector Car Shows Minneapolis area

All,

Rain-outs continue but at least Saturday and Sunday we were able to see the sun felt awful good! The pics I have included are my favorites from the Minnetonka Drive-In and the Chanhassen AutoPlex Military Appreciation Day. 

The Minnetonka Drive-In had only about 25 - 30 Cars but was fun and the AutoPlex was in full swing, lots of Cars, Military Appreciation Day, Fly Over - Gotta Love the sound of those Prop Planes, Color Guard, and Flag Raising Ceremony plus Military Vehicles - nice. 

Enjoy this weekend Sunday has a number of Shows to choose from. Here's a hint if you shoot Pics with a digital Camera as I do, always carry extra batteries!

Kinda done with the snow now the rain hope this isn't an indication of Spring/Summer  Mosquito'season could be nasty!

Sorry there aren't more local shows to list as I try to list more Local shows but will pickup in June. 

I am going to try something new by adding pics of cars from last week that caught my eye.

1946 1/2 Ton Pickup with a beautiful Brandy-Wine paint job Super Interior and 383 Stroker in a nice detailed under the Hood and lots of great updates on a original Farm Truck - Thanks for Sharing Bruce!

Next is a 1953 Packard Clipper 2-door post that looks like new - love that interior - Thanks Brian for preserving the past!

May 6 to May 12 2019 Classic Car Shows Minneapolis and suburbs area

All,

Still not a lot to report but the good news is it isn't snowing anymore but probably shouldn't have even said that so don't hold me responsible if I jinked the weather! Went to the Buick show at the Fair grounds Sunday with Bill Schwartz and ran into just a couple folks we knew but we were there kind of late.

Always a nice Show and lots of new buildings and landscaping going on - most important nice shiny new clean bathrooms.

Anyway hopefully soon the weather will get better and the Shows will be in full swing. Check out the 7-Hi groups new location Tuesday and get some food at the Minnetonka Drive-In Thursday.

Will publish my yearly List as soon as the dates are determined - stay tuned.
