The weather was nice a dry and warm for a change for the Tonka Cruzers 2nd car show at the old Mason Motors lot Saturday June 8th. There was a great turnout of 32 [Cars/Trucks/Buses/Pedicabs]

Nice variety of interesting vehicles to enjoy looking at and talking to the proud owners - always fun and learn something new by chatting with them.

There were 13 first timers which always make it interesting and a couple of the local Pedicabs even showed up to introduce themselves and offer rides [payment by tips - no set price].

Next weekend another show and hopefully good weather again - then a Saturday off for "Back to the Fifties" at the State Fair Grounds, can't miss that!!

Anyway a big thanks to the regulars who continue to support my show and great to see the new comers - fun year so far.

I will have a show on Saturday the 29th which isn't listed because I thought we had a wedding to attend but it is on Sunday the 30th. So to entice you to attend it will be the "Door Prize" Show - how fun is that?

Enough for now hope to see a good showing the 15th.

June 8, 2013 Tonka Cruzers Car Club - Excelsior Cruze In! We had a great day for a car show and were pleased by the turn out of 32 collector cars! Some new cars that we hadn't seen before showed up too.
Plus, we were excited to see two cars that were in last week's 10,000 Lakes Concours d'Elegance! These are very rare cars that you don't see everyday. Thanks to Cub Foods for supplying the donuts and thank you to everyone who came and then visited Excelsior Art on the Lake at the Commons. Below are some of the cars.

Going to Art on the Lake on Saturday? If you drive your collector car, any vintage, between 9-noon, you can park free at 440 Water St (former Mason Motors) at the Tonka Cruzers Car Excelsior Cruze In car show happening that day! Short walk to the Art on the Lake at the Commons!

Thanks for coming to the first Tonka Cruzers Car Club Excelsior Cruze In Show of the year, held May 25, 2013!  Below are some of the new cars that we haven't seen before. Great turnout for such a cool, wet day!

Thanks to the new rides that came Saturday plus the folks that are regulars - all very appreciated!

Next Show Saturday June 8th which is the same day as Art on the Lake, so come to the Car Show with your Collector Car and walk down to the Commons to check out the Art Show while I and others watch over your Car.

Thanks to Caribou at Shorewood [5663 Manitou Rd] for the coffee - next to Joey Novas and Cub at 7 @ 101 for the Rolls, be sure to patronize these businesses soon.

The great looking Cadillac showed up after the show was over but wow what a car!

Little Dearborn Parts

Took a trip today to Little Dearborn Parts - Antique Ford Parts. Was greeted and helped by Roger, the owner. Checked out his awesome collection of Car memorabilia, vintage signs, great Neon Car advertising signs, and glass cases featuring vintage Ford parts and manuals. It's located at 2424 University Ave SE, Minneapolis by the U of M.   http://www.littledearborn.com/

Roger had the parts ready that Rick had called and ordered for Mildred (Rick's '49 Ford).

I am very excited about this Blog because up to now I have been promoting my show in Excelsior by word of mouth and handing out fliers. This Blog provides a new way to get the word out on my show Saturday mornings in Excelsior.
